First let me introduce myself. My name is Rebecca Braak, I’m from Holland and right now I work and live in Quito, Ecuador. I grew up in a small town in Holland where I could practice my sport horseback riding every day. When I was 18 I moved to Amsterdam to start with my study Business Administration at the University of Amsterdam. This was an amazing period of my life full of amazing friends, nice jobs and personal development. I graduated and received my Master degree in International Management and I was working at my dream company KLM. But one big part was missing, horses! So I decided to go to Ecuador to volunteer for three months on a horse ranch in the Andes. I felt happy to be in nature all the time and the other aspects of moving to another country were also appealing to me. New culture, new language, new opportunity to start your life from scratch.
So in May 2014 I decided to move to Ecuador and I started to ride horses at Rancho San Fransisco with one of the best show jumpers in Ecuador; Luis Barreiro. From here I started to guide horseback riding tours mostly with KLM flight attendants and pilots. My idea for a website with horseback riding tours started and I created Ecua Horse Rides. But there were other guests too that didn’t like horses so I developed a website with “regular” tours too, Rebecca Adventure Travel.
My goal with this website is to give you an overview of the most impressive Galapagos, Andes and Amazonian trips through Ecuador. With my experience with horses, tourism and business both in Holland and Ecuador I am sure that these tours will be an incredible experience. So if you need advice about what kind of tours you would like to do, where you would like to go to, what type of guide is best suited for the circumstance, I can give you advice.
So please send me a message whenever you have questions about Ecuador. I speak Dutch, English and Spanish.
Enjoy the website and all feedback is welcome!
