The Galapagos Multisport Tours are perfect for travelers who want to get to know the islands and observe the unique wildlife and scenery in an active way. They prefer to limit their time commuting between islands and also like to visit the lesser known island of Isabela.
As mentioned, you will explore the Galapagos Islands in an active way: snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming, biking, kayaking and hiking. While doing this you will observe plenty of wildlife: playful sea lions, giant manta rays, colorful fish and, giant Galapagos tortoises. During the trip you stay at local tourists or standard tourist superior class hotels with a private room and bathroom. All tours include various meals, transportation on and between the islands and activities as mentioned in the tour itinerary.

Multisport Galapagos Island

You will be welcomed at your arrival at Baltra airport and a guide will bring you to the harbor of Puerto Ayora. A speedboat will take you to Isabela Island, where you’ll visit the Flamingo lagoon, hike the huge Sierra Negra Volcano and go snorkeling in the Concha Perla Bay. Furthermore, you will visit the breeding center of giant tortoises by bike, even as the famous Wall of Tears. At Islet Tintoreras you will go snorkeling with sharks and a variety of multicolored fish. In Puerto Villamil you go kayaking and by bike you will visit Cave Sucre, Mango viewpoint and Hard Campo, where you observe the giant tortoises in their natural habitat. On your way back to the airport you stop by the Twin Craters, which were created by the collapse of surface material due to the lava flow hundreds of years ago. Then, your active, adventurous trip to the Galapagos ends.

DAY 1 (L, D):
It is recommended to book flights with an early arrival time to Baltra airport to make sure you can enjoy all of the activities of the tour.

Around 02:00 PM, you’ll take the small public speedboat to Isabela Island (about 2,5 hours). This can be a bumpy, wet ride so provide yourself a waterproof jacket and motion sickness medication if necessary. Upon arrival on Isabela Island, a driver will pick you up and you’ll visit the Flamingo Lagoon (short visit). After that, your driver will drop you off at your hotel.

To arrive at this incredible sight you will travel by bus for 45 minutes to the Galapagos National Park, where you begin the hike to the Sierra Negra Volcano and then to the Volcano Chico. Here you can feel the warm eath as evidence that the volcano is active. You can take your lunch at the volcano and then you return to the hotel. After a brief rest, you’ll have the chance to go snorkeling or swimming at Concha Perla where you can observe the colorful fishes, sea urchins, starfishes, sea lions, or even sea turtles.

DAY 3 (B, L, D):
After breakfast you get on the bike to visit the breeding center of giant tortoises and the Wall of Tears. From 1946 to 1959 Isabela was designated a penal colony by the Ecuadorian government. The prisoners were forced to build this wall with huge lava rocks. Additionally you visit a small lava tunnel and another Flamingo Lagoon, and after this you return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon you will sail to “Islet Tintoreras”. It is called this way because in this place there are sharks with white fins, known as Tintoreras. You can also observe penguins, sea lions, marine iguanas and you can go snorkeling with sharks and a variety of multicolored fish.
