1 After your flight to Quito you will be picked up by a private transfer to take you to your hotel in Quito. Boutique Hotel San Joaquin

2 After breakfast you will discover the beauty of the colonial historical centre of Quito. Lunch will be served at a local “almuerzo” place in La Mariscal and in the afternoon you will visit the Equator and the Inti-Nan Museum. 3 Today an English speaking guide will pick you up at your hotel to go to the Condor Park. At the Condor Park you will learn more about the Condors and you can enjoy a bird show. Hereafter, you will be visiting the indigenous market in Otavalo where you are able to walk around and see all the typical Ecuadorian products. Further, you will go to the Peguche waterfall. Here, you can enjoy the rainforest while you are walking to the waterfall. At night you take private transportation to Lago Agrio. (B, L) In car
4 From Lago Agrio you will have a 2 hour drive to Tierras Orientales to start your Amazon adventure. At Tierras Orientales you will go on a canoe and go along the Aguarico and continue along the Cuyabeno black water river, which will take approximately 3 hours. After dinner your guide with a lot of ecological knowledge will give a captivating lecture. (L, D)

5 Early in the morning you will go on a canoe excursion. The brisk morning hours are the best time to see the rainforest thriving activity. After breakfast, you trek into primary rainforest with your naturalist and native guide who will explain you about the practical and medicinal uses of the plants. After lunch you will go out with motorized canoes to enjoy the beautiful landscapes and try to find different species of monkeys and dolphins. After dinner you venture in the forest to find species of insect and with a bit of luck species of snakes or frogs. (B, L, D) JAMU Lodge
6 Today you will start early in the morning and spend the whole day exploring. You will go downstream to observe the enchanting salt lick (exposed clay bank) where colourful parrots and parakeets feed on the clay to draw the toxins from their bodies. Hereafter you will return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast you will trek into pristine primary rainforest. Your native guide shares his wealth of knowledge, showing you the medicinal and practical uses of the rainforest’s flora and fauna that their ancestors have taught throughout generations. Then you will return for lunch. In the afternoon, you will go along the Cuyabeno River where you have a good chance of seeing the freshwater pink and grey river dolphins (Inia geoffrensis and Sotalia fluviatilis) in a spectacular scenery. Further you will have the chance to try your luck at piranha fishing. After dinner, you will go out on a night excursion to search for caimans (alligator family) and nocturnal birds. (B, L, D) JAMU Lodge
7 After breakfast you will go along the Cuyabeno river to the Kiwcha tribe. Here, your guide will explain you more about the customs of the tribe. Further you will go by canoe along the Aguarico river to Puerto Gregorio. From there a bus will take you to Lago Agrio where you will arrive around 15.30 pm. 8 Today you will be picked up by an English speaking guide after breakfast to go to Cotopaxi National Park. At the park you have the choice to go mountain biking, hiking or horseback riding through the beautiful landscapes of the Cotopaxi volcano. In the afternoon you will be brought to a local country house (Hacienda) where you have the opportunity to see alpaca’s and enjoy the beautiful environment. (B, L) Hacienda Papagayo

9 In the morning you will be picked up by an English speaking guide to go to Quilotoa crater. Here you can hike along the crater and enjoy the environment. After lunch you will be brought to Banos. (B, L) Hotel Floresta

10 The atmosphere in Baños is laid back and relaxed in this sub-tropical climate. Tourists love to come to Baños for outdoor activities like rafting, canyoning, horseback riding, canopy, mountain biking or hiking. You will go mountain biking through the most impressive waterfalls of Ecuador, “Ruta de las Cascadas” without a guide but with a good helmet, mountain bike and route description.  At night the town is full of entertainment like pubs, restaurants and bars, all in walking distance. You also have the option to do the optional canopy line “El Torpedo” ($ 20) or you can bungee jump off a bridge ($ 15). (B) Hotel Floresta

11 Today you have a day free to discover Baños by yourselves. One of the must see attraction of Ecuador is ‘Swing to the end of the world’. Here, you swing over the edge of a cliff. (B) Hotel Floresta

12 Today you will travel from Baños to Papallacta which will take around 5,5 hours. Here you can enjoy the thermal baths of Papallacta. The baths are very healthy due to the minerals in the water which is good for your skin, digestion, blood circulation and stress. 13 A private transfer will bring you to the Airport in Quito. At the airport your tour will end and you will fly back home. (B)
